Christmas with the family

To everyone in the blogging world I hope you all enjoyed Christmas day with your families, friends or whatever you did on this joyful holiday. I celebrated Christmas with my family. It was just me, my mom my 2ND older sister Jessica and my nephew Anthony. It all began at 8:55 a.m. Christmas morning my nephew Anthony was super happy that Santa Claus came and gave us presents. Both him and his mother wouldn't stop waking me up and all I wanted to do was sleep for a little bit longer. I gave in because I wanted to open my presents too. Anthony got a lot of toys, games and a movie this year. My mom bought Anthony a crayola art easel, Mario vs. Sonic at the winter Olympics and the movie UP. My sister Jessica aka Anthony's mom gave her son many things that I can't remember right now. I gave Anthony a cute teddy bear bank, Elefun the game and a Spider man dinner set. I got really cool things for Christmas from my mom, my sister Jessica, my boyfriend Angel and Anthony. My sweet little nephew made me a hand print out of clay and he painted it gold just for me. I thought that was so sweet and now I will always remember how small his hand was when he grows up. Jessica gave me a DS i which is awesome and cooking mama. If you don't know what cooking mama is it's a video game that you can cook different foods. my mom gave me a portable DVD player, lip gloss from Victoria's Secrets, Night at the museum part 2 gift pack and G Force. My boyfriend Angel gave me a new scrapbook in red, a Hello Kitty 2010 calender which I look forward to putting up on New Year's Day, The Collector's Edition of The Nightmare Before Christmas, a little chocolate snowman and the movie Spirited Away. My mom got House Party 1 through 4 on DVD and a new jewelry box from me and my sister gave her make up and perfume. As a child I always felt like a spoiled brat because I always got a lot of things for Christmas. I think I still might be that same spoiled little girl only because I got a lot of cool things for Christmas this year. For Christmas Jessica got nail polish and lotion from me and mom got her perfume and make up from Victoria's Secret. All Christmas day I was trying out my gifts. The portable DVD player works great and I'm having so much fun with my new DS i. For Christmas dinner my mom made pork and I don't mean ham, rice and beans and fried and boiled bananas. Later on my sister friend Faryn came by to have Christmas dinner however she was really hate and my mom was mad as hell at Faryn for coming so late. It wasn't her fault that she had to work late. This Christmas was very nice and now I can look forward to the new year and my valversity with the love of my life Angel. I hope that everyone enjoyed Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

School Rumble Christmas

Hello to everyone out there that blogs. As you know it's Christmas time. In honor of this joyful time of the year I decided to post Christmas pictures of a beloved anime that I wish they would make a season three of School Rumble. Picture number 1 shows the main character Tenma along with her younger sister Yakumo, Tenma's friends Eri the blond with pigtails, Akira the serious one, Mikoto the tomboy, and Karen the star wrestler in School Rumble. They are all dressed like Santa Claus but girlie.

Picture number 2 is a picture of Tenma's younger sister Yakumo and her best friend Sara. They look like they are ready for a night on the town for Christmas.
Picture number 3 is Tenma and her sister Yakumo along with their pet black cat Iori dressed in red Santa outfits. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

How I prepaired for the GED math test

To everyone who is a blogger as I wrote in a post entitled I'M SO FREAKING HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said that I passed the GED test which I'm glad about. I'm going to tell you how I prepared for the GED test I took on Monday November 16TH, 2009. It all started on Wednesday September 30TH, 2009 when I decided to give it another try even though I failed math in June. I looked up GED testing dates online and I found a list of different dates from different schools that were doing the test. I printed out an application and I filled it out which was easy. Before I finished filling out the application I had to pick out a school of where to take the exam. I chose the only school that I'm familiar with and it's the same place where I took the GED test in the past. I send my application to the Manhattan School because I used to take the test with my former GED high school Access. My mom mailed out the application for me the next day on Thursday October 1ST, 2009 just three days before my 22ND birthday which was on Sunday October 4TH, 2009. I made sure to renew my ID card because I wasn't about to go take the test and show the people an expired ID which I needed when I went to take the test. I waited for three longs week before I got a card saying that I got a seat to take the math GED test in November. I received the card of where to take the test and what time to be there on Thursday October 22ND, 2009. I was really happy to get it and between Thursday October 22ND, 2009 and Sunday November 15TH, 2009 I studied everyday for six to nine hours straight. I didn't play video games and I hardly watched T.V. My mom thought I was over doing it with the studying but I told her I wanted to pass that bad. She understood and supported me all the way. I got out my old workbooks I saved from Access and of course the GED calculator that one of my former math teachers Mr. Rishi made the class buy because the other students would either borrow them and never give them back or steal them. I practiced using the GED calculator and I reviewed every math topic I learned during my time at Access GED. If only I was still at Access because sometimes a person can forget and need a review on sometime they learned. But I wasn't going to stay 21 and under forever. I studied so much that I didn't get much sleep and on Monday November 9TH, 2009 I caught a nasty cold along with a sore throat and a dry cough after that. I'm thinking my mom was right about me over doing it with the studying. What can I say I really wanted to pass which I did. I even felt a little sick on my boyfriend Angel's birthday on Friday November 13TH, 2009. It rained that day which didn't make it any better. I thought that due to me getting sick I thought that I would have to miss the GED test and fill out the application all over again. Thank goodness I made a full recovery the day before I took the math GED test. I felt better on Sunday November 15TH, 2009. The night before the exam I made sure to get a good nights rest and to be ready for anything. I woke up the next morning ready to take math again. I left my home at 2:00 p.m. that way to make sure that I got to the testing site on time. As soon as I got there I ran into a former classmate of my from Access. Her name is Lytisha and she was taking other parts of the GED test I don't remember but I hope that she passed too. The test didn't start until 4:00 p.m. and I was ready to take it and pass. There was some math problems that I didn't understand that well but I did my best to answer them. I took test form IK which according to what Mr. Rishi told me test form IK is the hardest one to pass. I believe that because a lot of the questions on that test were hard. Mr. Rishi if your reading this I hope that your proud of me for finally passing the math part of the GED test. I finished taking the test on time and I went home that evening with a big relief off my shoulders that I gave the math GED test one more try. As I said in my last post I'M SO FREAKING HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I received my diploma and results on Monday December 14TH, 2009 and boy was I screaming to the top my lungs when I saw my diploma. To anyone who has taken the math GED test and failed here are some tips for you.

1. Don't get discourage just because you failed. Believe in yourself to do better next time.
2. Study a lot and get yourself a GED calculator at your local Staples.
3. It's good to study a lot but don't get yourself sick over it like I did.
4. If there is something you don't understand ask for help from someone who is good in math and or from someone who has taken the GED test before and passed it.
5. Never study at the last minute otherwise you won't do well.
6. If your in a GED program like I was get tutoring afterschool.
7. Get a good night's sleep before taking the GED test because nobody wants to fall asleep while taking a test.
8. Always do your best.

I hope that my tips help and good luck to anyone who is about to either take the whole test or just a subject that they didn't do well in before. This is how I prepared to take the math GED test.

I'M SO FREAKING HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen of the blogging world I Kristine Ann Melendez have great news. I finally passed the GED test which means I now have my GED diploma. As the title of my post said I'M SO FREAKING HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took the math GED test on Monday November 16TH, 2009. Math was the only subject that was holding me back from getting my GED diploma sooner. Because of me failing math in June I didn't get to graduate with my class at my former GED high school Access GED. I was upset about failing but I knew if I kept trying I know I can pass it. I got a 430 in math just to let you know. Now that I passed the GED test I can plan for the futher. I waited for a long time to get my results along with my diploma which I deserve and I hope you all know that and just to let you know I didn't freak out while taking the test because I learned it's best to keep a cool head while taking a test. When my mom gave me the envelope that had my results I opened it right away to see if I finally got what I always wanted. When I saw that I passed the GED test I screamed for joy really loud. My nephew Anthony was screaming with me and we were jumping for joy all over the place. I told my friends Fiorella and Sherwin about my sucess and they were very happy for me. I also told my sweetheart Angel the good news in a text message. Angel said he is very proud of me and knew that I could do it. I even made a copy of my GED diploma and my results to put in my scrapbook because I want to remember the day I got my GED diploma and results forever. Now that I have my GED diploma I would like to thank the following people. My friend Sherwin for helping me sign up for Access GED on Monday July 7TH, 2008, My family who always supported and believed in me, my homegirls Fiorella and Christina that always believed that I could do it, the love of my life Angel who is happy for me that I finally passed, all my teachers back at Access John my computer teacher, Mr. Rishi and Ms. Hemans my math teahcers, Mr. Shaw my Social Studies teacher and Ms. Lopez my science teacher. To all my teachers, Ms. Linda the principal and Ms. Savage thanks for the great year at Access GED. Just to let you all know I got my GED diploma and results on Monday December 14TH, 2009. I hope I made everyone proud. If any teacher or anyone from Access GED is reading this leave me a message on my blog telling me how proud you are of me for finally passing the math GED test.
